- Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, GOI issued Notification in response to the PIL in the supreme court of India filed by Save LIFE Foundation which deletes the provision from Rule 93(8) of CMVR, 1989 which allowed for goods carriages to be loaded with any pole or rods up to 01 meter beyond the rear most point of the motor vehicle. Hence all the general public as well as Govt. departments are requested to avoid carrying Protruding Rod/Pole/Pipe or any other materials. Violators will be prosecuted.
- Road leading from Dharamshala to Girls School junction is declared as “No Vehicle Zone” on every Saturday, Sunday and other public holidays from 5.00 p.m to 10.00 p.m vide Notification No. F.No.4-17/LS/2011-14/7946 dtd 17th Oct, 2014. All traffic vehicular movement through the road would be closed and traffic would be diverted through Y’Narayan junction.
- The vehicle coming out from VKV intending to go towards School Line should follow the left side and go up to Dairy Farm junction and take a round instead of right turn from 0645 hrs to 0745 hrs and from 1315 hrs to 1415 hrs.
- The vehicles coming from School Line side intending to enter into VKV School follow their left sides whereas the vehicles coming from Dairy Farm junction and intending to enter VKV should not take right turn instead they should proceed ahead and turn to the right side of the road from INS Utkrosh Gate from 0645 hrs to 0745 hrs and from 1315 hrs to 1415 hrs.
- Right turn is prohibited in front of Head Post Office towards Gurudwara Line.
- Link Road leading from Junglighat main Road (Opposite Island Bakery) towards Junglighat Jetty is declared as “ONE WAY”. The vehicle shall return to main road via Dorry Mill to Govt. School Junglighat crossing.
- Movement of all heavy vehicles from Clock Tower to Babu Lane is restricted between 9.00 a.m to 1.00 p.m and 4.00 p.m to 8.00 p.m.
- Movement of heavy vehicles in Mohanpura vegetable, fish and meat market complex from loading and unloading of goods is restricted between 7.00 a.m to 12.00 Noon and 2.00 p.m to 8.00 p.m.
- Auto drivers and other four wheeler drivers/owners are advised to not to park their vehicle at the bus stops.
- Buses should be stopped at designated stops only.
- Always wear helmet while riding two-wheelers and seat belt while driving four wheelers.
- Parents are advised to avoid allowing minor to ride Motor Cycle/Scooty having more that 50 cc of capacity.
- Entry on the road leading from Ganesh Temple, Aberdeen Bazaar to Ratnam market is restricted for all LMV, Trucks and Auto rickshaws.
- All vehicle owners/drivers are requested to drive their vehicle in low beam mode on the road in between Dollygunj Junction and Dairy Farm junction to avoid problem in flight operation during night hours. Violators will be prosecuted.
- Park your vehicle only at the designated parking place. Unauthorized parking alongside the road will be liable for fine.
