Port Blair, March 23: In a major breakthrough, South Andaman District Police has solved a snatching case. This case was registered at PS Aberdeen on 16th January, 2016 vide FIR No. 18/16 u/s 356/379 IPC an which a unknown person wearing a helmet had snatched away a bag containing cash Rs. 10,000/- and a mobile phone from an old man infront of Atlas Jewellery and fled away with another person on a motorcycle.

Since then, SHO Aberdeen alongwith his team and the district special team made sincere efforts and finally, on 22.3.2016 succeeded in arresting the two culprits namely Subham Bepari (21 yrs) and Swaroop Mondal (21 yrs) both R/o Prothrapur with recovery of mobile phone, cash and the motorcycle bearing Regn. No. AN-01/D-0956 involved in the crime. Both accused have been produced before the Hon’ble Court at Port Blair from where they have sent to JC remand.
