Port Blair, Aug. 27: CHC Rangat is situated at Rampur under the jurisdiction of PS Rangat and large number of people including ladies, children particularly senior citizens and handicapped persons are visiting CHC Rangat for the treatment of their illness/disease. Due to increase in the number of patients, they are forced to wait for a long time in a queue for their turn of treatment and obtaining medicines particularly senior citizens and handicapped persons. To overcome the problems of senior citizens and handicapped persons and being a part of community policing Shri Ajay Kumar Rai, Dy. SP Rangat, Middle Andaman decided to depute police personnel to help the senior citizens and handicapped persons in getting their treatment and medicines without struggling for their turn.

On this, Inspr. R.K. Sharma, SHO PS Rangat deputed two police personnel of PS Rangat from 24.07.2015 onwards at CHC Rangat during concerned hours for the assistance of the needful persons as a result it good response from the general public is being received. Moreover, community policing activity is being conducted by Rangat Police for the welfare of the general public in other areas as well. A separate register is also being maintained.
