Port Blair, Oct. 1: On 30/09/2015 on a tip-off, SHO P.S. Bambooflat alongwith police party intercepted a jeep bearing Regn. No. AN-01-D-8030 at which was stopped at Kadakachang junction and on search found 02 sacks containing sea cucumber weighing around 88 Kgs., kept beneath coconut sacks. The banned wild life articles alongwith jeep were seized on the spot. In this connection four persons namely (1) Jagdish Mallick (44) yrs, (2) Rajiv Dutta (31) yrs, (3) Bappa Bhakta (28) yrs and (4) Vivek Halder, all R/o Shoal Bay-19 & 15 involved in the transportation of wild life article were handed over to the forest Range Officials, Mannarghat alongwith seized articles, for further course of legal action.

In this regard general public is requested to pass any credible information on any illegal activity on the telephone numbers: 233077, 258411, 100, 9434288536. The information will be suitably rewarded and his/her identity will be kept secret.
