Port Blair, Oct. 26: The people of North & Middle Andaman were flabbergasted by the performances of “Police Entertainment Team” Port Blair. The team staged Musical Nights and awareness programmes and touched each and every corner of the District starting from Diglipur on 15/10/15, Kalighat 17/10/15, Mayabunder 18/10/15, Billiground 19/10/15, Bakultala 21/10/15, Rangat 22/10/15, Kadamtala 24/10/15 and Baratang on 25/10/15.
The programme included various songs, dances and educational skits creating awareness on ATM Frauds, Beti Bachao Beti Badhao and Eve Teasing. The programme was highly appreciated by the audience and gathered huge round of applause. The audiences including general public and PRI members from throughout the District appreciated the steps taken by the DGP in promoting Police Community Service. They have also requested to continue such awareness programmes on quarterly basis. The programme was coordinated under the supervision of Shri Santosh Kumar Meena, IPS, Superintendent of Police, North & Middle Andaman District and Shri Ajay Kumar Rai, Dy.SP Rangat/Diglipur.
