As part of Annual Sports & Athletic meet of A&N Police Department, a cross-country race (10 Kms) was organized on Sunday. The race started from PTS Prothrapur and ended at Netaji Stadium in which altogether 66 police personnel participated. The race was flagged-off by Mr Santosh Kumar Meena, Superintendent of Police HQ).
PC/618 Ujjol Kumar Das of PS Hut Bay clocked 42.53 minutes to bag the first position in the cross country race, while PC/2868 Naveen Kumar Nath (PS Humfreygunj), PC/202 Ashish Xess (PS Billyground), PC/1292 Salim Khan (PTS) and HC/1156 P. Babu Rao (PS Diglipur) secured the second, third, fourth and fifth positions respectively.
Mr N S Bundela, IPS, DIGP along with Mr Santosh Kumar Meena, also participated in the cross-country race.
