Port Blair, May 20: The Police team of CID conducted raid at Haddo and arrested six gamblers on Sunday evening. On a tip off, a Police team of CID Unit led by ASI Jarumba conducted a raid near Haddo Wharf, Gate No.2 and apprehended 6 persons namely Rajesh Kumar Baraik, 33, r/o Buniyadabad, B. Babu Rao, 38, r/o Haddo, Kurma Rao, 73, r/o Haddo, Kumud Kujur, 30, r/o Bambooflat, Dilleshwar Rao, 63, r/o Haddo, K.V. Ramman, 41, r/o Dairy Farm, who were found gambling. A sum of Rs.3,520/- was seized from the gambling den. All six persons were arrested on the spot and challaned under Andaman & Nicobar Gambling Regulation 1951. 

General public have been requested to extend their help to Police in curbing the menace by passing on information regarding gambling, drugs, prostitution, illegal sale of liquor etc. over ph. nos. 100, 232586, 233307 and 9474290250, a communication from the SP (CID), A&N Islands said here today.
