Port Blair, Oct. 1: Police team of PS CCS conducted raid at Doctors Colony, Nayagaon and arrested seven gamblers on Wednesday (30th Sep. 2015) evening. Gambling cash over Rs. 23, 000/- seized from them. On receipt of credible information, a Police team of PS Central Crime Station, led by SI N.Zainuddin, Incharge of PS Central Crime Station conducted a raid at Doctors Colony, Nayagaon and apprehended 07 persons namely (1) Sadhan Halder (29) r/o Junglighat (2) Abdul Rauf Molla (23) r/o Haddo (3) Karthick Halder (33) r/o Garacharma (4) Utpal Bahadur (25) r/o Pathargudda (5) Sanjay Mondal (31) r/o Prothrapur (6) Anath Sarkar (32) r/o Prem Nagar and (7) Aminur Gazi (35) r/o Pathargudda, who were found gambling. Rs. 23,445/- (Rupees Twenty three thousand four hundred forty five only) was seized from the gambling den. All seven persons were arrested on the spot under Andaman & Nicobar Gambling Regulation 1951.
