2nd Inter Unit League cum Knockout Football Tourney - 2016 by PTS

Port Blair, Nov. 21: As a part of sport event of A&N Police Department, An Inter Unit League Cum Knockout Football Tournament-2016 has been organized at Police Training School, Prothrapur. Smti. Geeta Rani Verma, IPS, Principal, PTS, Chief Guest inaugurated the event today (18/11/2016) at 3 PM and the event will continue till 14/12/2016. While inaugurating the match, the Chief Guest expressed pleasure for organizing Football event in second time at PTS and kickoff the Football.

In the tournament 12 teams comprising of N&M Andaman District Police, South Andaman district (Pahargaon), Nicobar District Police, Police Training School, Police Motor Transport, Bambooflat Division Police, CID & Immg., Armed Police, Police Marine Force, Police Training School (Warriors), India Reserve Battalion and District Headquarter. The first match held between Police Training School and Police Motor Transport. Police Training School team won the match. The semi-final match will be held on 10th & 12th December, 2016 and Final will be scheduled on 14th December, 2016 at PTS, Prothrapur.

The match was witnessed by the Police personnel of different units/Police Stations of A&N Police. The event was widely appreciated by all present.
